'' YATI, We do not just aspire to make a living, we aspire to make a difference. ''

Who Are We

YATI (Young African Translators and Interpreters) is a Senegal based language service company that delivers state-of-the-art services to its clients.

Since its opening, YATI has been providing services to the high profile institutions such as the US Embassy, HSI,  United Nations, African Union, CBP, FBI to name but a few.
We provide our clients with interpretation and document translation, transcription, subtitles, paper review amongst many other services.

Our age is our added value,

We are very dynamic and our support sometimes goes beyond language services. We help with conference room settings and offer guided tours should our client express a need for that.

   Our diligence is our signature,
  • Our interpretation booth is installed and our headsets configured 24 hours before the start of the conference.

  • Our interpreters are on site and ready to start 30 minutes before the arrival of the participants.

  • Our technicians will be in the conference room all day to ensure that no technical hitches occur.

YATI, as per its mantra, aspires to make more than a mere living. Better, we aspire to make the difference.
Pursuant to this, we are eager to reach out to the next generation and intend to extend a hand to the Linguistically Skilled African Youth that wills to unclinch their fist and help promote excellence.

What We Do

We orally translate a meeting between two or more people speaking two different languages?
As per its name, liaison interpretation is performed when the interpreter liaises with the clients points of contacts to help guide them through the unfolding of their activities. As such and rightfully so, the liaison interpreter will at the same time be sort of an intercultural mediator, a communication bridge, a meaning conveyor.

The liaison interpreter will use little technology if at all, they will be required to have high communication skills as they liaise with both parties.
Throughout its numerous activities all around the world, YATI has trained and put at clients disposal the best liaison interpreters in the marketplace.
We interpret from a booth during the speaker's speech during meetings, forums, trainings etc.
Feel like holding seminars, conferences, tabletop excercises… this is probably the best option to look at. Simo interpreting makes the job faster, and much more accurate. It’s not time consuming as automatism is the common denominator here.
As the interpreter immediately relays what the speaker has said, ideas can be translated almost instantly, so almost none of the messages are lost, which ensures greater accuracy.
We interpret after the speaker's speech for a clear understanding.
Consecutive interpreting is resorted to when the clients desire to hold tête-à-tête meetings.
In this setting, the interpreter sits next to both parties and interprets after each party is done speaking.
You might see the interpreter with a notepad taking down key points. Don’t worry they’re not spying on you, they’re just making sure they deliver the exact information.

Over the years, YATI has helped officials establish agreements within Senegal and the whole region, through qualified and very professional interpreters who have the sense of responsibility and discretion.
Kangaroo

We use this method at events with no more than three people who do not understand the language used by all the other participants. It is often combined with consecutive interpretation. It is not uncommon for the speaker’s speech to be translated consecutively, for questions from the audience to be whispered, and for the speaker to respond consecutively again.
